The last four days had been wonderful. Just what Veronica needed really. Sun, sand, surf, sex. Completely relaxing.

Of course, there was the little issue of her having not exactly gotten around to mentioning her summer plans to Dick. She had started to a few times, but changed the subject. She hated the fact that she had to lie to her friends. But she supposed she needed to get used to it if she was going to be a CIA agent.

Dick carried their bags to the car and Veronica made a pot of coffee. They had a little time before they needed to get back to LA for Dick to catch his portal.

"I made coffee," she said when he came back in. "And, um, there's something I need to talk to you about."

After saying goodbye to Cameron, Veronica was waiting with her luggage in the lobby for Bel. She'd already called and talked to Kim and ensured that their room was empty so she'd have somewhere private to talk to Bel.
